MOTHERHOOD, IDENTITY & EMOTIONAL WELLBEING
Motherhood Without Losing Me
When caring for everyone else has left very little room for you.
Motherhood can hold enormous love while also asking more of you than you expected. Your days may revolve around what your children need, what the family needs and what still has to be done.
Somewhere between caring, planning, working, worrying and keeping everyday life moving, your own needs can become easier to postpone. You may love being a mother and still miss parts of yourself that existed beyond motherhood.
Caring deeply for your children and making room for yourself can exist together.

DOES THIS FEEL FAMILIAR?
You may be showing up for everyone while quietly wondering where you went.
You want to be emotionally present for your children without feeling that being a good mother requires disappearing yourself.
You may love being a mother while also missing your independence, identity, relationships, interests or the person you were before.
Migration, limited family support, relationship changes or raising children between cultures may make motherhood feel more isolating than you expected.
You often carry the invisible work of remembering, planning, organising and anticipating what everyone needs.
Taking time for yourself can bring guilt, even when you know you are tired and need space.
You spend so much time thinking about what your children or family need that noticing your own needs can feel unfamiliar.
Motherhood can change your priorities, relationships, identity and sense of responsibility. Wanting space for yourself does not take anything away from the love you have for your children. Both parts of your experience are allowed to matter.
You can be a devoted mother without disappearing inside the role.

IN OUR WORK TOGETHER

4 MOVING FORWARD

The goal is not to become a mother who manages everything perfectly. It is to create a life in which you do not disappear while caring for everyone else.

Person-Centred
Your experience helps guide the work.
Trauma-Informed
Safety, choice and pacing matter.
Culturally Aware
Your culture, migration experience and identity are part of the conversation.
Practical & Reflective
Reflection can be combined with tools you can use in everyday life.
HOW I WORK
You are more than what everyone needs from you.
Motherhood does not happen separately from the rest of life. Relationships, culture, migration, work, family expectations, separation, finances and the availability of support can all shape how motherhood feels.
Our conversations create space for your experience without reducing everything to parenting techniques or expecting you to become a different kind of mother.
Depending on what you bring, we may explore identity, emotional overload, guilt, boundaries, relationships, cultural expectations, the mental load and practical ways of creating more room for your own needs. The work is shaped around what feels meaningful and manageable for you.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Your journey doesn’t need a fixed timetable.
There is no required number of sessions. Some people come with one focused concern, while others find several conversations over time more helpful. We can decide this together rather than setting a fixed pathway before we understand what you need.
