Professional Registration & Ethics
1. Scope of Practice
Astramía Counselling provides non-clinical, psychosocial counselling and emotional support.
The work offered is preventive and supportive in nature and does not replace medical, psychiatric, or clinical psychological care.
The practice operates within a clearly defined psychosocial scope and:

does not diagnose mental health disorders

does not provide medical or psychiatric treatment

does not offer crisis intervention or emergency care
When a client’s needs exceed the psychosocial scope of practice, appropriate referral to a GP or specialist mental health services is supported.
2. Professional Registration
This practice is registered with Collectief Alternatieve Therapeuten (CAT), a recognised Dutch professional organisation for alternative and complementary therapists.
3. Complaints & Dispute Resolution (Wkkgz)
As a CAT-registered practitioner, this practice falls under the GAT-Wkkgz complaints and disciplinary procedure via the Alternative Therapists Disputes Authority (GAT).
4. Professional Ethics
The practice is guided by recognised professional and ethical principles, including:
