Y ou do not need to arrive at counselling with a clear explanation of what is wrong.
Perhaps several things have been happening at once. You may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, restless or simply not quite yourself. Maybe life looks reasonably fine from the outside, which makes it even harder to understand why something inside still feels unsettled.
I Don’t Know What I Need Yet offers a gentle place to begin. We can slow things down, explore what has been happening and gradually understand what may be asking for your attention.

I Don't Know What I Need Yet
A GENTLE PLACE TO START
Home / Services / Finding Home Within
When you know something doesn’t feel quite right, but you don’t yet have the words for what you need.

Not knowing is enough of a starting point.

DOES THIS FEEL FAMILIAR?
Sometimes you can feel that something needs attention before you know what to call it.
♡ You don’t quite feel like yourself, but it is difficult to identify exactly what has changed.
♡ Several things may be happening at once, making it difficult to know which part you should talk about first.
♡ You may be functioning normally on the outside while privately feeling emotionally tired, disconnected or unsettled.
♡ You keep telling yourself that you should be fine because nothing seems “serious enough” to justify needing support.
♡ You know that something in your life needs attention or change, but you are not yet sure what that is.
♡ Sometimes you simply want somewhere to talk without needing to explain everything perfectly or immediately find a solution.
You don't have to choose a category before we meet.

THIS SPACE MAY BE FOR YOU
This pathway is for people who know they would like some support but are not yet sure what they need, what to focus on or whether one of the other Astramía pathways fits their experience.
People Feeling Unsettled
Something feels different, heavy or uncomfortable, even though you may not be able to identify one clear reason.
Those Carrying Several Things at Once
Relationships, work, family, migration, identity or responsibilities may feel too interconnected to separate neatly.
People Needing Space to Think
Wanting somewhere confidential to slow down, speak freely and hear your own thoughts more clearly.
Those Unsure Where to Start
Knowing you would like support while feeling uncertain about which counselling pathway or type of help may fit.
We can begin with curiosity rather than needing an answer.
WE CAN START WITH CURIOSITY
What Is Happening?
Slow things down and explore what life currently looks and feels like without needing to immediately define a problem.
What Are You Carrying?
Notice which responsibilities, emotions, relationships or expectations seem to be taking up the most space.
What Do You Need?
Gradually recognise needs, boundaries or priorities that may have become difficult to hear amid everything else.
What Might Help?
Consider what kind of support, change or next step may make sense once the picture becomes clearer.
Couples sessions provide additional time for both partners to participate, slow down difficult conversations and work with the relationship together.

Person-Centred
Your experience helps guide the work.
Trauma-Informed
Safety, choice and pacing matter.
Culturally Aware
Your culture, migration experience and identity are part of the conversation.
Practical & Reflective
Reflection can be combined with tools you can use in everyday life.
HOW I WORK
We begin with the person, not the label.
You do not need to present your experience in the “right” way or decide what kind of counselling you need before we meet.
Our conversations can begin wherever your thoughts naturally go. I may ask questions to help us understand what has been happening, what seems connected and what currently feels most important.
As things become clearer, we may discover a particular focus involving relationships, identity, motherhood, migration, prolonged stress, recovery or another part of your experience. Or our work may remain broader and follow what feels most relevant from session to session.
The aim is not to find a label for everything you experience. It is to help you understand yourself and your circumstances more clearly.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We can discover the direction as we go.
sometimes another kind of support may be more appropriate
Astramia provides preventive and psychosocial counseling and does not replace emergency psychiatric or specialist mental healthcare.
If what you are experiencing appears to require
support outside my scope of practice I will discuss or referral options can te considered.

A REFLECTIVE COMPANION
For when you don’t have the answers yet.
There are seasons when life feels somewhere between what was and whatever comes next. You may not need advice or another decision to make. Sometimes you need enough quiet to notice what you are actually feeling.
Short reflective letters offer gentle companionship while you slow down, listen to yourself and allow things to become clearer in their own time.
